Moving Cells est une installation numérique proposant d’interagir par le mouvement avec un nuage de particules virtuelles. Faisant tour à tour office d’attracteur ou de répulseur, le corps du danseur produit, par des règles simples, des motifs d’une variété infinie, illustrant ainsi le principe d’émergence cher aux sciences de la complexité. Très rapidement, les règles d’interaction sont intériorisées, le dispositif technique oublié, et le nuage devient pour le spectateur un nouveau corps, avec ses propres contraintes et ses propres modalités d’expression.

Partikules: Performance by the Compagnie 121 in interaction with the Moving Cells device (Robin LP, CNRS/ISC-PIF) which plunges solos and duets into an indirect space on the electro rhythms of the composer Alva Noto.
Moving Cells is a digital installation proposing to interact by motion with a cloud of virtual particles. Alternately acting as an attractor or repellent, the body of the dancer produces, by simple rules, patterns of infinite variety, thus illustrating the principle of emergence that is central in complexity science. Very quickly, the rules of interaction are internalized, the technical device forgotten, and the cloud becomes for the spectator a new body, with its own constraints and its own modes of expression.
